The business challenges include redundancies of input, Excel database that is manually maintained, a lot of manual manipulation and formatting based on specific pieces of information, an excessive amount of links to a variety of sources & multiple emails, approval and follow-ups. Our Client wanted a Sharepoint based automated solution which will help automate the process.


Solution

Volga Infotech played a primary role to help automate the entire process. Enhancements were needed by the Pricing Department that will allow them to process more effectively and accurately a workload that has increased by 50% from 2011 through 2012 and be a SOX complaint. Created a new tool that allows creations of forms, automate the process including storage and retrieval of numbers and history.

  1. Automate Workflow and Approval Routing that will replace the color coated inter-office mail.
  2. Automate the PE Test Margin, PE Request, and PE Approval template forms. This will replace the JDE price inquiries and manual entry.
  3. Automate the upload of approved PE pricing data into server pricing.

    The system has been very beneficial for client and its vendor across country. The form submission, search capability, conditional formatting, retrieving historical data and workflow process for approval and notifications have been automated.
