Now a days as the selfie-culture is becoming popular, especially with the youth, our client has come up with an idea to have an app that lets individuals post their selfies of specific occasions. The users can share that experience with friends and even compete with them for the best selfies. In addition our client required an admin and business user web sites, which was to be used by companies for posting challenges and then the mobile users can upload selfies against them, consequently helping the companies to market itself or its products.

Solution

We at Volga Infotech developed an IOS application and a website in .NET to cater to the clients' needs. The app allows users to create challenges for self, with friends and join challenges created by businesses and friends. Thereafter user can post selfies to these challenges and also accept challenges created by friends or business users. A Business user can create challenges through the website and so connect with users to grow their customer base. The Admin has a high-level as well as a detailed perspective of all the data in the application.

The below mentioned modules were implemented for the solution:

• Mobile application
  Users can connect with friends and challenge them to post their selfies for any event. Invite friends from Facebook and phone book and to add them to friends list. Get notifications on regular intervals for posting selfies, as set while creating a challenge and also when someone joins the challenge which the user has also accepted.
• Business User Web Portal
  A Business user can showcase any event happening at the company by creating a challenge for it. All mobile users can join and participate by posting their selfies. The business user can then see all the selfies that have been posted and declare winner/s among them.
• Admin Web Portal
  The Admin Dashboard lets the admin user see the details of all the mobile users, business users and the challenges created as well as all the selfies that have been posted. The admin can review all the content and remove it if he finds any content inappropriate. For a Business user to start creating challenges, they need to be verified and authorized by the admin first.
